“Run for it” UPDATE

The Tucker Community Foundation’s 2022 RUN FOR IT event, one of the largest annual fundraising events in the Potomac Highlands region of West Virginia & Maryland returned “live” to Davis on Saturday September 24, 2022 after two years of pandemic related virtual events.

Each year, participants run a certified 5k race or walk a 2k course during the Leaf Peepers Festival to support the community cause of their choice. This year, 29 racers chose Heart of the Highlands as their community cause, and we are very grateful for their support.

The Heart of the Highlands was awarded $2946.82. This included $145 from Team Registration fees, $250 from the Tucker County commission, $500 from the McDonough Foundation, $501.82 from team sponsors, and $1550 in race awards.
